Allergic alveolitis may present as bronchial asthma and may present as gradual shortness of breath with cough. The problem with allergic alveolitis is that this disease causes lung fibrosis so that the early diagnosis and treatment may spare the patient many complications. Some types are a disease that have both characteristics of bronchial asthma and lung fibrosis. The patient may complain from gradual shortness of breath and sever asthmatic attacks associated with cough. The treatment of allergic alveolitis is different from that of bronchial asthma. Any resistant asthma should alert for the presence of allergic alveolitis.
